Transparent and comprehensible cost structure for private medical emergency services
Costs:
Invoicing is based on the current standard rates of the fee schedule for doctors (GOÄ) and is checked by an independent billing office. We are legally obliged to do this. Our invoices contain a detailed list of all medical services provided and the costs of medication used. In addition, travel costs and any night, weekend or holiday surcharges are listed.
Invoicing is checked by independent medical billing offices. This ensures that all items comply with the GOÄ requirements and are plausibly justified before they are sent to you.
All patients residing in the Federal Republic of Germany receive a detailed invoice by post to their home after medical treatment.Billing for privately insured patients: The costs of the medical emergency service are usually fully covered by private health insurance. The doctor’s bill is submitted to the private health insurance or assistance fund for reimbursement as usual.
Attention: In the basic tariff of a private insurance company, with the postal service insurance fund B and the student tariff of a private health insurance company, etc., you as the policyholder may have to pay the difference yourself.Billing for those with statutory insurance: If you have statutory insurance, you have to cover the costs of the emergency medical service yourself. Unfortunately, the costs are not covered by statutory health insurance companies. We will be happy to inform you in advance about the costs of the operation, which depend on the extent of the examination and treatment. You are not registered in Germany: For people who do not live in Germany, the costs of the emergency medical service must be paid in cash immediately after the treatment. You can submit the invoice we create to your insurance company in your home country or to your foreign health insurance company.
